ADMINISTRATION
Administration speed:
· 100 mg/min or for 15 minutes
· Some protocols recommend infusion for 5-10 minutes in emergency situations
Maintenance dose: Start 12 hours after loading dose
· Generally 1000-3000 mg/day divided into 2 doses
GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS
Special considerations:
- Rapid impregnation may increase the risk of adverse effects, especially neurological and psychiatric.
- In patients with renal insufficiency, the dose should be adjusted to avoid drug accumulation.
Monitoring:
· Closely monitor neurological and hemodynamic status during impregnation.
· Monitor renal function and signs of toxicity (drowsiness, agitation, psychosis)
· Be alert for signs of hypersensitivity reactions
